You’ll then be escorted in comfort in a private, air-conditioned vehicle through Cairo’s vibrant streets to your hotel. After check-in, take the rest of the day to relax, unwind, and perhaps enjoy your first glimpse of this city where ancient wonders blend with modern life.

Overnight: Cairo

After a hearty breakfast at your hotel, meet your expert Egyptologist guide for an inspiring day of exploration.

Your journey begins at the Giza Plateau, home to the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the largest and oldest of the trio, along with the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure. Stand in awe before the Great Sphinx, its mysterious gaze guarding these timeless monuments, and step into the Valley Temple, where ancient purification and mummification rituals once took place.

Enjoy a traditional Egyptian lunch at a handpicked local restaurant before continuing to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM)—a masterpiece of modern architecture and design. Here, you’ll wander through vast galleries showcasing treasures from every era of Pharaonic history, including royal artifacts, statues, and golden relics, all displayed with cutting-edge presentation.

By evening, return to your hotel to rest after a day steeped in history.

Next, board a motorboat to reach Agilkia Island, home to the relocated Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Admire its elegant columns, detailed reliefs, and tranquil setting surrounded by the Nile.

You’ll then check in to your luxury Nile cruise, enjoy lunch on board, and begin your voyage toward Kom Ombo. Spend the evening soaking in the stunning river scenery as the sun sets over the desert banks.

Arrive early in Luxor, once the glorious city of Thebes. After breakfast, cross to the West Bank, the realm of the dead in ancient Egyptian belief.

Descend into the richly decorated tombs of the Valley of the Kings, final resting place of legendary pharaohs, where vivid hieroglyphs and symbolic scenes illuminate the journey to the afterlife.

Visit the striking Temple of Hatshepsut, a masterpiece of symmetry built for Egypt’s iconic female ruler, and stand before the Colossi of Memnon, two monumental statues that have guarded the Nile plain for millennia.

Return to your cruise for an afternoon of leisure as the ship remains docked in Luxor.
