Itinerary

Welcome to Egypt! Upon your arrival at Alexandria Airport, World Travel Path representative will be waiting to greet you and assist with your arrival formalities.

You’ll then be transferred in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel in Alexandria. Spend the evening settling in, enjoying the coastal breeze, and soaking in your first views of this historic Mediterranean city.

Overnight: Alexandria

After breakfast, meet your expert tour guide at the hotel and begin your full-day exploration of Alexandria in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle.

Your first stop is the Library of Alexandria, one of the largest cultural centers in the modern world, inspired by the grandeur of the ancient library. Learn about its mission to preserve and celebrate human knowledge.

Next, visit the Citadel of Qaitbay, built on the site of the ancient Pharos Lighthouse, once one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Explore the fortress and enjoy stunning views of the Mediterranean coastline.

Continue to the Montazah Palace Gardens, where you can admire King Farouk’s palaces—Salamlek and Al-Haramlik—set amidst beautifully landscaped gardens and nearby beaches.

Stop for photos at Alexandria’s mosques and the memorial statue of Alexander the Great. Visit the Church of St. Mark, the oldest church in Africa, before driving to Alexandria’s historic harbor for panoramic city views. End the day with a stroll through the charming streets of downtown Alexandria.

Following an optional lunch, visit the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), Egypt’s modern archaeological marvel located near the pyramids.

Start at Saqqara, the burial ground of ancient Memphis and home to the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the world’s first monumental stone structure. Learn about its architectural innovations and stroll through tombs decorated with colorful reliefs.

Next, visit Memphis, Egypt’s first capital, to see the colossal statue of Ramses II and the alabaster sphinx. Continue to Dahshur, where the Bent Pyramid and Red Pyramid illustrate the evolution of pyramid construction before the masterpieces at Giza.

Return to your hotel in Cairo for the evening.
