Itinerary

Welcome to Egypt! Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, a World Travel Path representative will be waiting inside the terminal, holding a sign with your name for easy recognition. They will guide you smoothly through visa procedures and luggage collection.

Once formalities are complete, you’ll be escorted to a private, air-conditioned vehicle for a comfortable transfer to your hotel in Cairo.

Use the remainder of the day to relax after your flight—perhaps enjoying a walk around your hotel’s neighborhood or a quiet evening preparing for the adventures ahead.

Overnight: Cairo

After a hearty breakfast at your hotel, meet your Egyptologist guide for a captivating journey into ancient history.

Begin at the Giza Plateau, home to the legendary Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. Learn about their construction techniques, royal symbolism, and the mysteries that still surround them.

Stand face-to-face with the Great Sphinx, its lion’s body and human face watching over the desert for millennia. Visit the Valley Temple, where mummification rituals took place for Egypt’s rulers.

Savor an authentic Egyptian lunch at a well-regarded local restaurant before heading to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). This world-class facility houses thousands of artifacts, including colossal statues, intricately carved sarcophagi, and the dazzling treasures of Tutankhamun.

In the evening, transfer to Cairo’s railway station to board your overnight sleeper train to Aswan. Settle into your private cabin and enjoy a freshly prepared dinner as the train glides south along the Nile.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner (onboard)

Overnight: Sleeper Train to Aswan

Arrive in Aswan to a warm welcome from your local guide. Begin with a visit to the Aswan High Dam, a monumental engineering project that reshaped Egypt’s agriculture and energy supply.

Next, take a scenic motorboat ride to Agilkia Island, home to the Philae Temple—dedicated to the goddess Isis and famed for its elegant columns, exquisite carvings, and serene island setting. Learn the fascinating story of how the temple was relocated to save it from the rising waters of Lake Nasser.

After sightseeing, check in to your Nile cruise ship. Enjoy lunch on board while the vessel begins sailing toward Kom Ombo. Spend the afternoon soaking up Nile views, and in the evening, join optional entertainment organized by the crew.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Overnight: Nile Cruise

This morning, I stepped ashore at Kom Ombo to explore its unusual double temple, dedicated to two gods—Sobek, the crocodile deity, and Horus the falcon-headed god. The temple is rich in symbolic carvings, including rare depictions of ancient surgical instruments.

Return to the ship and enjoy lunch as you sail to Edfu. Upon arrival, take a horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus, one of the most complete and best-preserved temples in Egypt. Admire its soaring pylon, intricate wall reliefs, and sacred sanctuaries that once hosted elaborate rituals.

In the evening, dress in traditional attire for a lively Galabeya Party on board, with music, dancing, and cultural fun as you continue cruising toward Luxor.

Wake up in Luxor and set out for an unforgettable day on the West Bank of the Nile.

Begin at the Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs of the New Kingdom were laid to rest in ornately decorated tombs carved deep into desert cliffs. Step into chambers adorned with vivid hieroglyphics and symbolic art, and—if open—visit the tomb of Tutankhamun.

Continue to the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, a stunning multi-terraced temple that tells the story of Egypt’s most famous female ruler. Conclude your morning with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues standing guard over the Theban necropolis.

Return to your cruise ship for lunch and an afternoon at leisure, watching the golden light of sunset reflect on the Nile.

Explore Karnak Temple, the largest religious complex ever built, with its towering Hypostyle Hall and sacred lake. Walk among the giant papyrus-shaped columns and feel the echoes of centuries of worship.
