Itinerary

Your trip begins early in the morning when World Travel Path representative picks you up from your hotel. Travel comfortably in an air-conditioned vehicle on a scenic drive to Aswan. The journey covers approximately 370 kilometers and takes approximately 4 hours.

Begin your exploration in Aswan with a visit to the High Dam, often referred to as Egypt’s “Fourth Pyramid.” This massive rock-filled dam, built on the border between Egypt and Sudan, was constructed between 1960 and 1968 and officially opened in 1971 under President Gamal Abdel Nasser. The dam harnesses the Nile River to create the vast Lake Nasser, the lifeblood of Egypt’s agriculture and energy.

Continue your journey to the Unfinished Obelisk, the largest known monumental obelisk, located in its original granite quarry. This magnificent monument offers a glimpse into the exquisite stone-carving techniques of ancient Egypt.

Next, visit the captivating Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. This sacred complex, located 12 kilometers south of Aswan, was a major center of worship from the Pharaonic, Greek, Roman, and Byzantine eras.

Each era left its own mark on the site. After being saved from submersion during UNESCO’s Nubia campaign, the temple was carefully relocated from its original location on Philae Island to the nearby island of Agilkia. Today, it continues to fascinate visitors with its magnificent architecture and the legendary love story of Isis and Osiris.

Enjoy a delicious lunch at one of Aswan’s local restaurants. Afterwards, you will be transferred to your hotel in Aswan, concluding your enriching tour.
